The project is developed using the Unity 3D game engine, by Stephen Wicklund (aka Venryx).
When was the game's development started?
The project repository was created in February of 2015. (starting with code from an earlier project)
When will the game first be released, and in what form?
The idea is to make it available as an Early Access game on Steam once it's developed enough to be fun, and playable over the net/with multiplayer.
How much will the game cost?
I'll likely experiment with different pricing models, but I'm currently planning on making a starter edition that is free-to-play with 5 biomes, and a $10 "standard expansion" to unlock the additional core 5. Down the line, I'd also like to create expansions packs with further biomes (e.g. marine life), with each of those priced at $10 as well.
